What to cook from currants

Sweet currant

You will need:

  • 3 kg currant berries;
  • 1 kg of sugar;
  • 3 oranges;
  • 2 lemons (can be replaced with 3 tablespoons of citric acid);
  • 2 packs of vanilla;
  • 2 bags of gelatin (50 g).

Cooking:

  1. Wash the berries, add salt, cover with sugar and leave for 6-8 hours.
  2. Strain the oranges and lemons through a meat grinder (along with the peel) and add the currants.
  3. Bake the jam for 20 minutes.
  4. Add vanilla, gelatin, mix well and cook for another 1 minute.
  5. Arrange in prepared jars and roll out.

Apple and currant jam

You will need:

  • 200 g apples;
  • 200 g black currants;
  • 400 g sugar;
  • 250 g of water.

Cooking:

  1. Arrange the currants, send, dry. Cut the apples into slices, remove the core.
  2. Prepare syrup from sugar and water, add apples and cook for 5-6 minutes, removing the foam.
  3. Then add the currant berries, mix lightly and cook a little over low heat until thickened.
  4. Pour more hot jam into the jar and roll it out.

Strawberry and red currant jam

You will need:

  • 700 g sugar;
  • 1 kg of strawberries;
  • 250 g red currants;
  • 1 lemon.

Cooking:
You will need:

  • 3 kg red currants;
  • 1 cup raspberry juice;
  • 3-4 kg of sugar.

Cooking:

  1. Arrange the currants, rinse, squeeze the juice and add the raspberry juice.
  2. Add sugar, mix well and leave for 20 minutes.
  3. Then mix again and cook until cooked over low heat, stirring occasionally.
  4. Pour more warm jelly into the prepared jars and roll out.
